Joe Perrone Jr.-4.30PM EST-The G-ZONE

-First writing experience was as a sportswriter for the Passaic-Clifton Herald News
-Wrote advertising copy for a couple of years as a freelancer
-Wrote cover articles for weekly newspapers
-Was a fly fishing guide on the Beaverkill River in the Catskills for ten years, which gave me lots of -materials for my mysteries
-Had several fly fishing short stories published in various magazines
-Began work on my first novel in 1987 while driving a limousine, painting houses, and trying to sell real estate - it started as a memoir that morphed into a novel, Escaping Innocence (A Story of Awakening) a coming-of-age novel. Took nearly 20 years to complete it and finally published it in 2007
-In 1997 I co-wrote and published Gone Fishin' With Kids (How To Take Your Kid Fishing And Still Be Friends) with Manny Luftglass
-Also began writing a murder mystery, As The Twig Is Bent, set in NYC and featuring Internet sex chat rooms


-Published As The Twig Is Bent in 2008
-Published A "Real" Man's Guide To Divorce (First, you bend over and...) in 2009
-Published the second Matt Davis Mystery, Opening Day, in 2010. It recently received an Indie B.R.A.G. award (Book Readers Appreciation Group)
-In 2012 published third Matt Davis Mystery, Twice Bitten, which deals with Pentecostal snake handlers
-Both Opening Day and Twice Bitten are set in Roscoe, NY, and this past April I was invited by the Roscoe Chamber of Commerce to be a "celebrity" first-caster on opening day of trout season. Then, I was a guest speaker at the Two-Headed Trout Dinner
-Am presently at work on my fourth Matt Davis Mystery, Broken Promises, which is also set in Roscoe
-Married for nearly 31 years
-4 children (two of my own and two stepchildren)
-Love music,cooking, fly fishing, and of course writing and reading
-Hope to begin traveling on car trips with my wife, Becky
-Love to help other authors in any way I can
-Provide editorial and publishing services
